2007 Special Award Winners

Walewski named Golf Professional of the Year

Trey Walewski, head professional at Kanon Valley Country Club in Oneida, has
been named 2007 Central New York PGA Golf Professional of the Year.

The highest honor paid to a CNY PGA professional went to Walewski for his
overall performance at his facility, level of service to the Section,
leadership ability, image and ability to inspire fellow professionals and
promotion of golf.

Walewski, who has been at Kanon Valley CC for seven seasons, has served the
Section on the Board of Directors for 10 years, including Chairman of the
Tournament Committee. He is currently President of the Section. He has been
a PGA member for 15 years.

Other CNY PGA Special Award winners for 2007, all of whom will be honored
Dec. 7 at Turning Stone Resort's Shenendoah Clubhouse, are:

Chris Maneri, Tuscarora GC - Assistant Professional of the Year
Trey Walewski, Kanon Valley CC - Merchandiser of the Year - Private
Kevin Maginn, Partridge Run GC - Merchandiser of the Year - Semi-private
Matt Kleiner, Club at Villa Roma - Merchandiser of the Year - Resort
